Training Courses

Question	What are the training coursed provided by IOB?
Answer	The Institute provides more than 400 training courses in the following areas: Banking Investment Insurance Management and Marketing Regulations and legislations English language

Question	Whom are such course intended for?
Answer	These courses are intended for the personnel of the banks and the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency as well as the personnel of the financial institutions and private sector firms. Employees of Government sector can also benefit of such courses.

Question	May such courses be admitted to by non-banks and companies' employees?
Answer	Such employees may admit to those IOB courses and programs that do not require that participant is currently on the job, such as the Professional Diplomas and Certification Programs.

Question	What are the fees of those courses and how to be paid?
Answer	Fees vary according to the nature of the course, its duration and its venue. For payment of courses fees, there are two payment methods, which are: Payment made by the organization that nominates the trainee, being of its employees. Payment made by the trainee himself by an approved check covering the amount of the course fees issued in the name of the Institute of Banking.

Professional Qualification Programs

Question	What are the educational programs provided by the Institute?
Answer	The Institute provides two types of educational programs, as follows: Specialized Professional Diploma Programs: The Institute provides two diploma programs, one in financial and banking business and the other in sales and marketing. Both programs are intended for secondary education Saudi graduates. Professional Qualifications Programs: The Institute provides three educational programs leading to the conferral of professional certificates and designations. These programs are as follows: Personal Financial Planning Program, which aims at developing a cadre of professional financial planners competent of providing sound professional financial advice that meets the expectations of their customers. This program focuses on medium-income customers issues. Wealth Management Program, which aims at developing a cadre of professional financial planners competent of providing sound professional financial advice that meets the expectations of their customers. This program focuses on high-income customers issues. Fundamentals of Insurance. This program, which is accredited by the British Royal Institute of Insurance, aims at preparing internationally-recognized qualified cadres competent of joining the insurance market as novice insurance professionals.

Question	Are such programs recognized by the banks and other companies?
Answer	Specialized Professional Diplomas: Both specialized professional diploma programs are designed based on the actual requirements of banks, as related prior studies were made in coordination with the Saudi banks to identify their employment needs and requirements. Accordingly, both diplomas programs were designed to meet the needs of Saudi banks in relation with the employment of Saudi graduates qualified to work with such banks and other financial institutions. Professional Qualification Professional qualification programs are intended for employees working in the banking and insurance sectors and are designed so that related certifications are recognized by such sectors.
Question	How long is the duration of such educational programs?
Answer	Specialized professional diplomas programs: The duration of the program is two years and a half, on five semesters. Professional Qualifications programs: Personal Financial Planning: This program is provided on four courses and workshops over five weeks. Wealth Management: This program is provided on four courses and workshops over five weeks. Fundamentals of Insurance. 12 weeks

Question	What are the fees of the Banking and Financial Diplomas Programs and Marketing and Sales Diploma Program?
Answer	Fees of Program are : SR 30,000 for individuals SR 35,000 for companies and banks For individuals only, such fees may be paid on six installments of SR 6.000 each.
Question	Are there specific prerequisites for admission to such programs?
Answer	Prerequisites for the Professional Diplomas Programs: Having at least the Certificate of General Secondary Education or its equivalent, with an overall "Good" rate Passing the interviews conducted by the Institute for applicants to those programs provided that they meet the above prerequisite. Prerequisites for the Professional Qualification Programs: Personal Financial Planning Program: Having a university degree. Passing the pre-qualification examinations on the fundamentals of Mathematics, economy and accounting. Passing the English Language Level Five Test conducted by the Institute. Wealth Management Program: Having a university degree. Passing the pre-qualification examinations on the fundamentals of Mathematics, economy and accounting. Passing the English Language Level Five Test conducted by the Institute. Program of Fundamentals of Insurance: Having a university degree or equivalent. Being an employee in insurance firms and desiring to develop his skills in the area of insurance. Passing the English Language Level Four Test conducted by the Institute.
Question	Are those programs remotely accessible?
Answer	The nature of those programs requires reactive teaching and training to ensure optimum results through the involvement of both the instructor and the learner in the teaching/learning process and using the examples and case studies. Therefore, such programs cannot be accessible through remote study.

Question	What the requirements of such certificates?
Answer	First: Tadawol Certificate: A candidate should be: A Saudi national An employee of a Saudi bank Nominated by the bank employing him Second: Investment Principles Certificate A candidate should be: Fill related registration form. Read, and write his name on and sign, the certificate-related declaration. Submit a clear copy of his identity card (for Saudis) or Iqama (for non-Saudis).

Answer	Daily training hours are 7, from 8 am to 3 pm. IOB Regular working hours are from 8 am to 4 pm.

Answer	Short-duration courses are delivered in the morning period only. English language courses are delivered in both the morning and evening periods. Diplomas programs are delivered in the evening period only.
